What is the best part about joining the Management Team at AtlasEdge?

It is an exciting time to be a part of the whole AtlasEdge team and I’m delighted to play a role in our success by delivering strategic legal counsel to the company. As we know, data centres are no longer regarded as “just” space, power and cooling; increasingly they are at the core of how companies grow and operate successfully. It is a real privilege to work in an industry that is poised for such incredible growth and to work with the impressive team that AtlasEdge has gathered to help deliver Europe’s leading edge platform.

What do you most enjoy about being a lawyer?

I really do love lawyering across the board; from the nitty gritty to the big picture. I’m undaunted by long contracts or prickly issues and I take great pleasure in puzzling out solutions and negotiating transactions so as to create win-win opportunities. The GC role requires real problem-solving agility, and this is certainly the case with a company growing at pace in an industry with an ever-evolving regulatory framework. The skill to identify problems (and prevent them) is essential, but so is being able to solve problems quickly and smartly . As an in-house lawyer, it’s critical to navigate those matters with a healthy entrepreneurial spirit. And frankly, I really enjoy debating, so I could not have picked a better profession!

What changes do you anticipate in the new role?

I am very lucky to be stepping into a role where the pillars have already been neatly put in place. I now have the opportunity to further develop and refine the legal strategy so that we’re in lockstep with the overall company strategy and ambition. Together with the wider legal team, we will naturally continue to act as technical legal specialists and as key touchpoints between a range of AtlasEdge teams.

Outside of AtlasEdge, what might we find you doing?

While I’d like to dazzle you with something fancy, when I’m not enjoying time with my two young daughters (read: losing a debate about chores) or tumbling down a mountain on skis, you can usually find me belting out at top volume in the nearest Karaoke bar. Words of caution: I do not take kindly to sharing the microphone.
