Change Analyst

JOB PURPOSE

The Change Analyst – Data Centre Facilities is responsible for governing and coordinating change across AtlasEdge’s data centre facilities environment, ensuring operational stability, customer alignment and service continuity.

The role supports IPC-owned Change Management by overseeing governance of facilities-related changes and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), ensuring appropriate risk, impact, safety and dependency assessment prior to execution.

This position operates at the intersection of Service Operations, Engineering and Data Centre Operations, ensuring maintenance and infrastructure changes across electrical, mechanical and critical facilities systems are planned, approved and executed in a controlled and auditable manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Change & Risk Governance

  • Govern end-to-end lifecycle of all facilities changes (Standard, Normal, Emergency, Expedited)
  • Ensure rigorous risk, impact, safety, dependency and service-collision assessments
  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings: agenda prep, execution and follow-up
  • Act as governance gatekeeper—challenge incomplete or unsafe submissions
  • Oversee changes impacting electrical, mechanical, BMS/EPMS, physical security and facilities networks

PPM & Maintenance Governance

  • Govern PPM execution: scheduling, approvals, coordination and operational alignment
  • Define and maintain PPM KPIs and performance reporting
  • Ensure Post Implementation Reviews (PIR) and maintenance reviews are completed
  • Track and file post-maintenance evidence for audit readiness

Operational Execution

  • Process, review and validate change requests in ITSM/CMMS platforms
  • Conduct collision detection across changes, PPMs and maintenance windows
  • Review impact assessments, method statements and rollback plans
  • Maintain governance dashboards, logs, calendars and change schedules
  • Issue customer and internal communications for planned activities
  • Coordinate with DCMs, Engineering, SOC and vendors to ensure controlled execution

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive maturity improvements across Incident, Problem, Change and PPM governance
  • Support Problem Management with operational change and maintenance data

The Change Analyst works within the Service Operations team, in Operations, and reports directly to the Incident, Problem and Change Manager.

The key stakeholders this person will interact with are the Site Operations Team, both Engineers and Data Centre Managers, Security team, internal and external suppliers (IT Tech Ops, third party M&E and services suppliers).

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

PREFERRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent field experience in Data Centre Operations or Critical Infrastructure environments.
  • Initial experience in Change Management, Service Operations or Facilities Operations within data centre or critical facilities environments is desirable.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Understanding of data centre infrastructure systems, including electrical distribution, cooling systems, and BMS/EPMS.
  • Experience coordinating Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities.
  • Ability to assess operational risk, safety considerations and potential customer impact associated with infrastructure maintenance activities.
  • Stakeholder management across Engineering, Data Centre Operations, SOC teams, Customers and external vendors. ITIL Foundation or equivalent.
  • Experience working in customer-driven or highly regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-site data centre operations.
  • Experience working with ITSM / CMMS platforms such as CARMA, ServiceNow or Jira.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential. German or Portuguese language skills are an advantage.
  • Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) background in critical facilities environments.
  • Strong ITIL background around change enablement.
