1. You’re bringing a lot of industry experience to AtlasEdge. What have you learned over the years?
Over the past two decades, I’ve seen tremendous positive changes in our industry. One key shift is the evolution of customer expectations; they now demand more than just a product — they want solutions tailored to their needs. This has led us to engage deeply with clients, fostering a collaborative learning environment. I’ve learned that a successful business is built on its people. Ensuring their safety and well-being, promoting a healthy work-life balance, and providing clear career paths are crucial. A motivated and productive workforce, coupled with a great company culture, drives success and creates a dynamic work environment. I’m excited to apply these insights to help foster a thriving team at AtlasEdge.
2. What made you decide to join AtlasEdge?
Several factors drew me to AtlasEdge. First, having worked with some of the team before, their positive experiences influenced my decision. Additionally, AtlasEdge has a unique and robust foundation, with high connectivity assets and strategic land in growing markets. The strong core team, experienced investors, and visionary leadership provide a solid base for future growth. The impressive sales pipeline also positions us well to capitalize on opportunities. This is an exciting chance to be part of a dynamic team poised for significant success.
3. Customer demand continues to go through the roof — and shows no sign of slowing. How would you describe this period for data centres?
This is an unprecedented period of growth for data centres, with demand for capacity reaching new heights. The industry’s attractiveness to investors is evident due to sustained demand and opportunities for innovation. We are likely to see more customized solutions supporting the AI revolution and environmental sustainability. Liquid cooling systems, decentralized UPS systems, and alternative energy sources will become more prevalent. To remain competitive, data centres must stay agile and responsive to technological advancements and customer needs. This adaptability ensures we provide efficient, sustainable, and cutting-edge solutions, positioning us well for future growth.
4. Biggest challenge and opportunity in the new role?
Getting myself up to speed for all our in-flight projects quickly and efficiently is an immediate challenge, but also an opportunity to showcase our reliability. Streamlining new developments and ensuring realistic commitments in cost, time, and scope is crucial for maintaining our reputation. As we grow, expanding the team and building the right culture ahead of time presents an opportunity to attract top talent and prepare for increasing demand. Maintaining operations while anticipating potential issues will enhance our operational resilience and customer satisfaction.
5. Outside of AtlasEdge, what might we find you doing?
My life is delightfully hectic and rewarding. My partner Ivana and I have four children, and we keep a lively household with two dogs, a parrot, a dwarf hamster, and twelve fish. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor sports like mountain biking, walking, and fly-fishing for trout. I also love attending music concerts, football matches, and rugby games whenever I get the chance. These activities help me unwind and bring balance to my life outside of work.
