AtlasEdge today added a number of key leadership appointments. The growing and talented team brings together extensive experience from across the data centre, network and digital infrastructure sectors.
Henry Harris has been appointed General Counsel and Head of Corporate Development, responsible for overseeing legal matters and corporate development activities.
Ron Huisman has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, responsible for leading the financial aspects of the business.
Zahl Limbuwala has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the operation of AtlasEdge’s edge data center portfolio, including Operations & Engineering, Design & Construction, Physical & Cyber Security, Sustainability, Procurement and Programme Management.
Dan Thomas has been appointed Senior Vice President of Sales, leading commercial and customer activities at AtlasEdge.
As previously announced in May 2021, seasoned industry executive Josh Joshi was appointed Executive Chairman of AtlasEdge’s Board of Directors. Mr. Joshi has over 20 years of experience building value in the digital infrastructure sector, holding senior positions at several multinational companies including Chief Financial Officer of Interxion, a leading provider of carrier and cloud-neutral data center solutions across EMEA. Mr. Joshi will support the strategic growth of AtlasEdge with a focus on building the organisation as well as extending its reach across European markets.
About Ron Huisman – Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining AtlasEdge, Mr. Huisman was Chief Financial Officer of Liberty Global’s Central division, including the Global Technology & Innovation division. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Liberty’s Dutch operations and Chief Financial Officer of Liberty Global’s International Content division. He has a strong background in Merger & Acquisitions, having managed the full life cycle of more than 75 transactions from analysis and deal negotiation to organizational integration and separation. Mr. Huisman is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Master of Business Economics from the University of Maastricht, the Netherlands, and graduated as certified International Director at Insead, Fontainebleau, France.
About Zahl Limbuwala – Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Limbuwala brings deep expertise as a technology leader, previously serving as the Executive Director of Strategy & Market Engagement for CBRE. He has founded, led and exited three technology start-up businesses, as well as held operational and management leadership positions in international telecoms and data center companies around the world. Mr. Limbuwala has lived and worked in Europe, America and APAC, building and leading technical and business leadership teams, as well as serving some of the world’s largest companies as clients.
About Henry Harris – General Counsel and Head of Corporate Development
Prior to joining AtlasEdge, Mr. Harris was Managing Director of the legal function at Liberty Global, one of the world’s leading converged video, broadband and communications companies. In this role, he was responsible for commercial legal activities, covering key areas such as technology, outsourcings, supply contracting, IP and commercial litigation. He also managed the legal aspects of Liberty Global’s European Corporate Development strategy, covering M&A across telecoms, media and infrastructure as well as venture capital, corporate reorganisations, joint ventures and UK corporate governance and company secretarial. Prior to joining Liberty Global, Mr. Harris spent eight years at international law firm Allen & Overy LLP as a corporate lawyer with a specific focus on private equity and four years at law firm Lovells LLP (now Hogan Lovells).
About Dan Thomas – Senior Vice President of Sales
Prior to joining AtlasEdge, Mr. Thomas spent 10 years at Interxion as Senior Director, International leading commercial activities across Europe, Middle East, Africa, the US and Asia. During his tenure, he helped Interxion build and grow new customer segments in the platform, connectivity and enterprise verticals with demonstrated year-on-year performance. He has also supported a strategic African investment fund around M&A and building new data center services. Prior to these positions, he worked in the software industry. Mr. Thomas holds a BEng in Manufacturing Engineering & Management from Loughborough University with a first-class dissertation award.
